Overview

The Complex Project Manager is responsible for completing all assigned Capital Improvement projects within the specified schedules and budgets.  He/she is also responsible for coordinating the safe and timely construction activities between Contractors for the Renaissance Hotel, Westin Hotel & Spa, Oyo Hotel & casino.

Responsibilities Assist in developing written scopes of work.Assist in the review of initial project drawings and documents for coordination of the various disciplines.Assist contractor and architect with clarifications during bid process.Assist in scheduling projects with contractors and hotel operations.Assist in budgeting and value engineering.Work with architects, designers, consultants and engineers.Work with contractor, hotel management and staff to maintain a positive guest perception during construction.Oversee contractors during construction to maintain quality workmanship, project schedules, safety and hotel requirements.Assist architect and operations in creating punch lists at project completion.Draft Purchase Orders and approve for pay out.Maintain comprehensive project files.Maintain daily logs of work performed.Draft memos to clarify, inform, request or document information.Coordinate shipping and receiving of goods to and from Capital Improvements Warehouse and job site.Maintain inventory of Capital Improvements Warehouse.Coordinate all Receiving and Damage Reports with purchasing agent.Price and order tools and materials for Capital Improvement Department.Monitor trash dumpster, schedule pick-ups and confirm pay outs. Qualifications

Education & Experience: 

At least 1 years progressive experience in hotel construction, renovations, and FF&E installations, or related field; or a 4-year college degree and at least one year of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and 3 years of related experience.Previous personnel management required.Must be able to read and comprehend construction blueprints, project specifications, consultant reports from the various disciplines related to construction

Physical requirements:

Long hours sometimes required.Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.General Requirements Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
