$66,560.00/Yr. - $70,000.00/Yr.

Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

Conduct compliance risk assessments, quality assurance reviews, compliance monitoring processes, and company-wide compliance training, covering high risk activities. Support business units compliance, marketing requests and regulatory change management and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Compliance Programs:

Conducts compliance reviews, scheduled loan level documentation, transactional testing, risk assessments on lending products and services through focused and random sample basis.

Participates in touchpoint meetings with business unit leaders and communicate regulatory change management.

Evaluates vendor agreements and related documents and provides written assessment of potential regulatory impact and recommendations.

Reviews marketing campaigns, disclosures, new products, and general regulatory questions.

Performs QA continuous monitoring of regulatory compliance through the data driven compliance reporting processes.

Evaluates process maps, procedures, policies, and management directives for accuracy and completeness.

Prepares written report for Department Manager detailing observations and recommendations for corrections.

Facilitates and leads discussions with Business Unit Managers and Senior Leadership as it pertains to Quality Control review results.

Works with affected business units to accomplish remediation and appropriate training as required.

Participates in the continual review and improvement of Quality Control oversight programs for lending products offered by the Bank.

Continually coordinates with Department Manager and other team members his/her ideas and recommendations for enhancement of areas that cover all regulations affecting credit products.

 Other duties as assigned.

Analyzing:

Reviews proposed vendor engagements, operating agreements, policies and procedures, and marketing collateral to identify areas of potential regulatory impact and compliance with applicable regulations, statutes, agency guidance, and best practices.

Analyzes published business unit policies, procedures, and forms to ensure accuracy and alignment with current investor guidelines and requirements.

Consults with Government and Agency investors, vendors, legal counsel and Axos Lending Compliance department, as needed.

Regulatory Support:

Supports Bank's efforts on all corporate compliance audits and Agency compliance examinations, including advance preparation, coordination of all information gathering between business units during the audit/exam and remediation actions.

Requirements:

3+ years' experience in banking/mortgage banking/audit/regulatory compliance.

1+ years of Consumer Lending Underwriting experience.

Law firm or in-house experience reviewing legal documents.

Experience at loan level documentation review and transaction analysis.

Knowledge Requirements:

Understanding of all lending compliance regulations.

Understanding of banking regulatory, audit and compliance programs for deposit compliance as it relates to federally regulated banks.

Strong knowledge of loan processing workflow and credit underwriting principals, and ability to apply critical thinking techniques to department audits.

Knowledge of all lending related regulations.

Ability to identify and define problems with documentation, loan origination systems, internal processes and procedures; research and analyze information and various situations relating to data management issues.

Must be flexible, able to work on multiple projects that may require restructuring due to shifting demands and changing priorities within a multi-billion dollar bank.

Deep understanding of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and investor guidelines.

Exhibit high levels of attention to detail.

Must be able to recommend alternatives or solutions.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to include presentation skills.

Ability to work independently.

Personal computer skills must include proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows and network environments.

Microsoft Office products (WORD, EXCEL, VISIO, PowerPoint).
