The Royal Caribbean Group’s Port Operations' Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Analyst, Compliance reporting to the Lead, Compliance.  

 
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida. 

 

Position Summary: 

Individual in this role provides support on internal audits including anti-bribery compliance; vendor due diligence; invoice review and approval red flags; supplier payment verification audits and forecasting tool compliance with consent decree. Additionally, support Port Services Compliance team in developing training media, data visualization and SOPs to be delivered to various internal and external stakeholders. 

Environment is fast paced with strict deadlines where strong analytical; problem solving; time management; effective communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills are a must. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Participate and provide support with periodic audits including investigative review, analysis, and evaluation of targeted sample data to help mitigate or identify compliance issues, unusual trends or outcomes with business rules and invoice review and approval process.  

Responsible for data compilation, business rules and invoice research, documenting audit findings and agreed action plans for inclusion in audit reports during SOX testing of management and key controls.  

Maintain detailed documentation of assumptions, methodologies and information sources utilized during the performance of all analytical tasks and audit work steps.  

Assist with the supplier payment verification audit (Trust and Verify) as needed. 

Assist with third party due diligence reviews in accordance with company’s SOX controls.  

Assist with vendor onboarding, appointment letters and contract administration and storage.  

Assist with collaborative activities between Compliance, Port Operations, Billing and Finance teams and external business partners.  

Assist with ad hoc project requests or tasks as directed.

Knowledge and Skills:   

Strong analytical experience and skill set to analyze large datasets.  

Ability to create charts and graphs to affectivity depict relevant data outcomes.  

Inquisitive in nature with strong work ethic.  

Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible.  

Meticulous and detailed oriented and forward-thinking mindset.  

Able to work well under pressure.  

Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

 

Qualifications:    

Bachelor’s degree preferred, OR an associate’s degree in finance, compliance, accounting, or other related area required, AND at least one-year relevant work experience.  

Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint. 

1 - 3 years’ experience with SOX controls, compliance, and auditing background particularly finance, compliance, performance audits and data analysis skills.   

 

Work Environment:  

Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.  

The environment includes work inside/outside the office, travel to other offices, travel domestic and international, and work in shipboard functions.  

A high noise level is possible if visiting shipboard or offsite locations. 

 

Physical Demands:   

The employee may move about the office complex, may travel to other office locations, and may lift, push, pull or move 10-15 pounds.
