We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join our team at E & J Gallo. In this role, you will analyze and oversee regulatory programs and activities related to alcohol beverage packaging, marketing, and sales, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and international laws, industry codes, and company policies. You will play a crucial part in maintaining our company's integrity and adherence to regulations.
As a Compliance Analyst, you will perform complex activities to obtain government approval for regulated items, including preparing marketing applications and consulting with management to prepare appeals when necessary. You will participate in the scrum framework, assess business initiatives for regulatory concerns, and manage prioritization for compliance-related tasks. Your role will involve direct interaction with government officials to solve issues related to Federal and State filings.
You will review proposed regulatory activities to determine their potential impact on the organization, advise management on these issues, and execute necessary changes to ensure compliance. Effective communication is key, as you will provide progress updates to cross-functional partners, draft corrective actions, and lead changes in conjunction with management. Monitoring and identifying potential non-compliant situations, defining problems, evaluating solutions, and presenting them to Legal Counsel will be part of your responsibilities.
Maintaining appropriate documentation for regulatory audits and establishing governance, developing department procedures and best practices, and researching and interpreting complex alcohol trade practice regulations are essential tasks. You will respond to client requests for approval, facilitate resolutions, and collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
Additionally, you will conduct training for cross-functional and external personnel to ensure compliance across all business functions. Translating regulatory information for various audiences, providing balanced regulatory assessments, and reviewing contracts for compliance will be crucial. Understanding and complying with quality, environmental, and safety regulations, and ensuring the same for others, is a fundamental part of the role.

What You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of experience in regulatory compliance or within quality control, government administration, marketing, alcohol beverage sales, project management or legal support with responsibilities that included compliance functions; OR High School diploma or State issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, or within quality control, government administration, marketing, alcohol beverage sales, project management or legal support with responsibilities that included compliance functions reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. Skilled in the use of MS Word and MS Excel at a basic level. Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description. Required to be 18 years or older. What Will Set You Apart:
Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, business administration, political science, economics or marketing plus 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance or within quality control, government administration, marketing, alcohol beverage sales, project management or legal support with responsibilities that included compliance functions reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. Experience with reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Experience with writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Experience with effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Experience with online research websites, such as Lexis-Nexis or CCH. Skilled in the use of SAP software application. Experience solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Experience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Experience with applying established procedures to situations that are non-routine in nature requiring some evaluation, originality or ingenuity. Experience with working on multiple projects at one time and organizing them appropriately. Compensation:
Hiring Salary Range Posted: $26.63 - 39.90 Hourly Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.Perks & Benefits:
