Summary - Ensures FMCSA, state, and local regulations for independent contractor files are compliant. Assists the safety department in answering questions regarding FMCSA regulations.\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n
\n\nDetermines eligibility of independent contractors by assessing their previous employment, MVR, PSP, and Drug and Alcohol Clearing house.\nVerifies previous employment through TenStreet or whichever company is being used at the time.\nRuns MVR, PSP, and Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse on appropriate websites. Protects this data and files it accordingly.\nMonitors driver licenses for any moving violations, motor vehicle accidents, suspensions, or cancellations.\nMaintains Independent Contractor Commercial Driver files per FMCSR requirements, along with company file.\nIssues Unit Number and enters Driver, Payee, and Truck information in McLeod.\nEnters Bond amount, Legalization, and Drug Screen charges in settlement deductions.\nReceive documents from independent contractors and uploads them into DQ files\/company files\/maintenance files and enters new dates for expired documents in McLeod for driver and truck.\nUpdate EFS card changes in McLeod or other systems.\nProcess address, email, and phone number changes in McLeod or other systems.\nTrack Indiana transport plates to ensure inventory is enough to cover needs. Keep inventory updated with lost plates and charge back independent contractors for lost or replaced plates. Update Indiana BMV on plates.\nAssists the safety manager with Hours of Service training and answering FMCSA questions from contractors.\n\n

\n\nHigh School degree or G.E.D. - or six months to one-year related experience and\/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nComputer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word, and Excel software.
