Responsibilities The Compliance Auditor has a deep understanding of means to ensure an organization's operations and processes adhere to internal policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. This role involves examining and evaluating the effectiveness of controls, identifying areas of non-compliance, and recommending corrective actions to mitigate risks. KEY RESPONSIBLITIES Conduct Audits Perform regular and ad hoc audits of HR processes, records, and systems to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, as well as internal policies and procedures Review Practices Evaluate current HR practices and procedures, identifying areas of risk or non-compliance and recommending improvements Documentation and Reporting Prepare detailed reports of audit findings and compliance issues, presenting them to HR leadership and other relevant stakeholders Training and Support Provide training and support to HR staff and management on compliance-related issues and best practices Regulatory Monitoring Stay current with changes in labor laws and regulations, ensuring that the organization remains compliant and implementing necessary changes Investigations Participate in investigations into compliance matters or complaints, such as identity theft matters, documenting findings and supporting the resolution Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in auditing, compliance or a related field Ability to develop a deep understanding of policies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Effective communication and interpersonal abilities Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Exhibits meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of the role to ensure accuracy and compliance Ability to analyze complex data and information to identify issues, trends, and solutions Agile and responsive to changes in laws, regulations, and organizational needs Works effectively with teams and other departments to facilitate compliance and improve practices This is a hybrid position based in Brentwood, Missouri. In-office days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Work from home Mondays and Fridays.
