Compliance Business Partner - London

Mercer is seeking a Compliance Business Partner to work across the Mercer Wealth business areas and support the Head of Advisory Compliance. The candidate will ideally have an Investment Advisory / Investment Management background. This role will support the Head of Advisory Compliance with Project Management on regulatory issues and business initiatives, co-ordinating the delivery of effective oversight and advice regarding compliance policies, procedures, systems, controls and governance.

We will count on you to:
Support the Head of Advisory Compliance in co-ordination of regulatory requirements and business projects
Work collaboratively across the Advisory team, contributing to Advisory projects, providing assistance/support to other team members and proactively sharing information/learnings to benefit the wider team
Work with the business to facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements
Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact for any regulatory or governance queries by providing guidance and steer to the business
Attend regular business and governance meetings and provide Compliance updates on regulatory developments, risks and relevant topics and actions
Provide Compliance advice and challenge to colleagues on regulatory issues and risks relating to their business or function, including the development and launch of new business models, new products and new functional processes
Promote an open line of communication between Compliance and the business to provide the business with updates on current Compliance initiatives and projects
Maintain an awareness of regulatory developments and support the business in assessing impacts and provide advice on challenge and proposed implementation
What you need to have:
Experience in Compliance within the Investments industry either with an investment advisory/consulting firm or an investment/wealth manager
Good knowledge of investment products, especially collective vehicles
Proven track record in building strong and constructive relationships with business leaders
Broad and deep knowledge of the FCA Handbook – Principles, Rules and Guidelines
Commercial awareness and focus on the proportionate application of regulation within the investments industry
Strong and confident communicator (verbal and written)
Strong organisational and time management skills
What makes you stand out:
Investments industry qualification (for example, IMC)
Project management experience
University Degree or recognised industry accreditation (for example, ICA Diploma)
