Compliance Consultant, Communications
**_If you are an internal associate, please login to Workday and apply through Jobs Hub._** **Job Purpose** **The Compliance Consultant is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures to ensure the Company's compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate compliance initiatives, and providing support for Jackson's Compliance Program. The Compliance Consultant will assist with the drafting of policies and procedures, determining compliance of such policies with regulatory requirements, completing assigned tasks and providing assistance to management on projects, reporting and workflow tracking.** **The Compliance Consultant, Communications will review and approve advertising and marketing materials and other company communications to ensure regulatory compliance.** **Essential Responsibilities** + Performs reviews and analyzes compliance with relevant financial industry regulations. + Responds to inquiries from internal stakeholders about regulatory requirements and other matters. + Assists Compliance team with questions from various internal stakeholders. + Prepares and submits regulatory filings. + Remains current on relevant regulatory matters and Company initiatives. + Manages one or more processes and manages projects. + Demonstrates superior characteristics in terms of quality work product, dependability, attitude and overall willingness to contribute to team goals. + Acts as a Subject Matter Expert and may train other associates. + Attends stakeholder meetings and other regular touchpoints with Jackson departments, as a liaison of Compliance. + Supports management in the implementation of the Compliance Program; implements processes and other improvements. + Participates in regular meetings with the Compliance management team. + Assists with reporting, as required, to department and senior management and board/committees. + Assists with the implementation and design of technological improvements to workflow and processes + Reviews product sales material, advertising, and other communications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. + Provides information and support to marketing teams regarding advertising/compliance issues, the Company's rules, and industry regulations. + Prepares and submits Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ("FINRA") and state filings of communications. + Conducts research on rules and regulations to determine impact on company procedures and makes recommendations. **Other Duties** + Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** + Ability to read and interpret rules and regulations applicable to Jackson, including state and federal regulations. + Working knowledge of insurance operations preferred. + Working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. + Demonstrated knowledge of annuity and insurance products, including Jackson products. + Strong project management skills. + Detail-oriented, organized, thorough and persistent. + Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, colleagues, and internal and external contacts. + Ability to work independently and make decisions with limited supervision. + Ability to multi-task and be flexible. + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access). + Ability to work effectively in a team environment. + Strong knowledge of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"), FINRA, and state laws, rules, and regulations, including the ability to read and interpret the same. **Qualifications** **Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.** **5+ years of relevant professional experience (insurance, financial services, compliance, legal, etc.) required.** **Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) required.** **FINRA Series 6 or 7 and FINRA Series 24 or 26 required.** We don't just accept difference - we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products and our community.
