We are currently recruiting for a Compliance Coordinator to join our team located at our Belle Eau Park depot.
Reporting into the General Manager, to support and assist the operation taking a proactive approach to monitor both compliance and safety performance, with a small element of training co-ordination.
To ensure that all training functions, procedures, health & safety (HS) and food safety (FS) compliance is adhered to as required by the organisation. To continuously review and update HS and working procedures specific to each role.
Maintain working relationships with all stakeholders to ensure that the training delivered is relevant to their role(s) and all training is consistently delivered to the highest standard. To ensure support is given to achieve targets in all areas of Health and Safety, and Compliance.
Accountabilities:
Support and assist the General Manager and Training Manager by ensuring that employees are adequately trained and provided with suitable training materials (in accordance with the role requirements).
Ensure that HS and FS compliance training is undertaken, to provide coaching and mentoring as required. To proactively identify training needs and opportunities, ensuring that all training adheres to safety principles including psychological safe training environments.
Take a proactive approach to identify and discuss continuous improvement opportunities with site management, and to facilitate the new training on-site once appropriate training material has been developed.
Ensure that all training and document controls adhere both to our customer and regulatory requirements and of the British Retail Consortium Global Standard (BRCGS) accreditation.
Accountable for supporting the training team with the maintenance of all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) telematic systems (ensuring that only authorised employees have access to use MHE).
Support and coordinate with the depot management teams to complete audits on functions/records required by the Company internal audits such as HS Compliance and FS Compliance.
Audit paperwork for the depot to ensure full compliance from first line management and report any discrepancies back to the senior management team.
Support Management with Enablon, provide regular reports on incident statistics (including near miss and HS) to site management within a timely manner.
To provide knowledge and training to the operations team that is compliant with the HS and Quality Policies as issued by the Company.
To provide current HS and quality policies to teams as required and to ensure these are compliant with current policies and these adhere to regulations.
To maintain training paperwork, identify opportunities and to store all documentation in accordance with company procedures adhering to GDPR requirements.
Support the wider site in ensuring that targets and standards are achieved, and procedures followed as specified in Job Descriptions.
Ensure depot training matrixes are managed, maintained, and updated accordingly and that all training is refreshed as required.
Responsibilities
Deliver training on specific policies, procedures, relevant Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), HS awareness, Material Handling Equipment and Manual Handling appropriate to individual roles.
Proactive monitoring of employees in the workplace to ensure recommended procedures are adhered to and safety is prioritised.
Provide completed audit checklists to the depot senior management team as required.
Assist the wider operation with customer and internal audits.
Supporting the training team to ensure that all new employees receive the Lineage approved onboarding process with particular focus to the Lineage values and safety principles (within the time frame required).
Working with Trainers and Shift Managers to ensure that all training is completed to the highest standard within the required timescales.
Identify training needs (incl. specialist training) updating the Regional Training Manager (RTM).
Any other ad hoc duties that may be required and directed by the RTM.
What we are looking for:
Experience of working within a Health and Safety, and Compliance based role is essential.
Proven work experience within a training capacity.
Experience working with MHE is desirable but not essential as training can be given.
NEBOSH National General Certificate holder is essential.
Manual Handling trainer desirable but not essential as training can be given.
MS suite intermediate to advanced, proven management / organisational skills to assist with planning and prioritising training needs.
Ability to handle multiple assignments, strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience working with LMS.
