About the role:
We are looking for a high performer who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment. The Compliance Coordinator will be organized and detail-oriented with a background in regulations and compliance and experience interacting with state regulators. The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations by managing life settlement and life insurance license applications, regulatory filings, and compliance reporting.
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in insurance regulatory compliance, licensing, and form filings.
+ Experience with SERFF or other regulatory compliance filing systems.
+ Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product.
+ Experience interacting with state insurance regulators.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
+ Experience with privacy and data protection laws is helpful but not required.
Key Job Responsibilities:
+ Draft, file, and maintain insurance department filings, including license applications and form approvals, for multiple regulated entities in the life insurance space.
+ Prepare and submit required reports, including annual and quarterly regulatory filings.
+ Assist with responses to regulatory inquiries.
+ Track, update, and maintain licensing databases.
+ Collaborate with colleagues and advise on regulatory and legal matters.
