Under the direction of the Regulatory Compliance Manager, the Compliance Coordinator will support the plant in food safety and regulatory compliance through management of programs and facilitating a culture of Quality. This position will require working with Plant Quality, Corporate Quality and Food Safety Teams, Plant Operations, and Plant Leadership Team, as well as working independently. The Compliance Coordinator will drive continuous improvements through audit/revision of written programs as well as on-the-floor presence to train, evaluate and approve program execution. This position will be responsible for developing effective tracking and reporting of KPIs, and ensure records are compliant with regulatory requirements and Mondelēz Quality standards.
How you will Contribute:
You will support elements of the site’s quality system, including internal documentation and change management control including quality policies amendments and registration of internal and external documentation, internal audits, effective PDCA cycles and CAPA system management and management review. In addition, you will coordinate the eQCMS bi-annual review, handle consumer complaints from start to finish, and serve as a key contact for food regulatory agency inspection and contacts management.

Flexibility to attend and provide leadership to all shifts as needed, ensuring communication with other departments, addressing food safety issues that may arise.Conduct root cause analyses as needed, investigating and documenting findings to communicate with management. Coordinate Internal Audits for the site to ensure compliance with food safety and quality requirements.Manage and coordinate CAPA program to ensure adequate and timely RCA / CAPA completions.Create manage and conduct annual plant-wide training of quality and food safety topics.Provide quality and food safety training to new hire employees.Support the Regulatory Compliance and Quality Systems Managers in the planning and execution of HACCP/Food Safety Plan, including Extraneous Material Management, Calibrations, Food Defense, Hygienic design, etc.Manage plant compliance calendar, communicating, completing and assigning tasks as needed to ensure on-time completion of required elements.Manage document data bases – including auditing and maintaining to ensure compliance.Ensure proper and consistent management of prerequisite programs by self and others. (I.e. - Internal audit program – including GMP audits, Mondelez Policy and local procedure audits, Foreign material management, Customer complaints, Approved suppliers, Kosher, Sanitary transportation, etc.)Provide KPI reports and updates through local and regional channels as directed.Prepare and assist with Mondelez, Third party and Regulatory audits.Support QC department in computer software implementation and use. Assists all QC lab employees in various PC software and hardware projects.Participate in facility safety programs, following company policies regarding safety and environmental issues.Supporting the Quality Department by filling in to provide lab coverage as needed in the absence of a lab technician, carrying out analytical procedures and other assessments of flour and wheat samples to ensure quality.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Science related field preferred) or equivalent lab experience2-3 years quality and or compliance experienceKnowledge of Quality Systems, Procedures, and PoliciesExperience in the use of statistical concepts in the control of manufacturing operations.Ability to analyze data, proven record demonstrating ability to effectively problem solve.Strong Continuous Improvement mindsetExcellent Computer (MS Office) and Communication Skills (Oral and Written)Knowledge of HACCP and food safety systemsAt least 1 year in a food production environmentPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a science fieldThree or more years with previous food safety and/or laboratory with microbiology and chemistry experienceFood plant compliance experience3 years in a food production environmentPCQI certificationWork Schedule:
Primarily 1st shift, but must be flexible to work all shifts as neededBenefits and Payrate:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $50K to $60K. the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. The salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
