Job Description

The Compliance Coordinator performs essential duties within the Compliance Department to ensure the Company’s strategic growth initiatives are achieved in a compliant manner under the guidance of the Vice President of Program Development and Regulatory Affairs.  This includes completion of applicable regulatory applications, process audits, and various required reporting to state and accreditation agencies.

The main job responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of institutional and programmatic accreditation and state regulatory standards and requirementsCompile and submit applications for new programs or other growth activities to relevant institutional and programmatic accrediting bodies and state agenciesAssist in the drafting and completion of reports and responses to institutional and programmatic accrediting bodies and other oversight agenciesPerform internal audits of various regulatory processes to achieve the annual internal audit planHelp prepare for and assist with external regulatory audits, as applicableWork with all departments (campus and corporate) on a continual basis regarding policy, procedure, operational standards, compliance, and best practices.Maintenance of catalogs, handbooks, and other student/consumer documentsAssignment of other tasks, as applicable and necessary

Pay range: $28/hr-$30/hr
This position is Hybrid, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in our corporate office (either Tempe, AZ or Newport Beach, CA)

QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a compliance or audit related roleMinimum of 3 years of experience in the higher education field (preferably in a career school environment) or in another government-regulated industry/professionProficient use of Windows computer systems and various other software or student information systems such as CampusVue, etc.Effective written and oral communication skillsAbility to read and interpret complex laws and regulations and articulate clearly with diverse groups of people/stakeholders, both internal and externalStrong organizational skills - takes ownership of tasks, projects, goals, etc.Strong critical thinking skills – uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problemsAbility to make conscious and informed decisions whenever requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essentialAbility to maintain confidentiality and remain professional at all timesAbility to travel up to 25 percent
