Job Description

THE ROLE

The Compliance Counsel, will work to ensure company-wide compliance with relevant laws and regulations, that Company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior throughout the organization is ethical and consistent with the Company’s Code of Conduct and business ethics. This position, based in Shanghai Changning, will report directly to Compliance Officer, China.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To drive the implementation of the Compliance Management System (CMS) in Bosch China, and to advise members of the business regarding how to implement business initiatives in a manner that is consistent with Bosch compliance policies and best practices;To identify potential areas of compliance risk and vulnerability, and develop additional policies and procedures to help minimize the risk;To assess compliance risks for all new business units and recommend risk mitigation strategies;To improve the CMS in Bosch China by benchmarking with external practices and conducting periodic legal reviews on the development of related legislations;To update the organization regarding significant or emerging compliance risks;To work with team members on conducting Compliance Investigations in adherence with all relevant legislation, guidelines and best practice in case of Compliance incidents (incl. e.g., fraud, corruption, embezzlement, violation of legislation, conflict of interests), and where investigations reveal gaps in controls, work with the business and Bosch’s Internal Audit Team to put in place additional processes and controls;To ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the performed investigations in Compliance with investigation and documentation processes;To ensure that risks associated with investigations are identified and appropriately escalated;To work closely with Bosch’s Internal Audit Team to identify weakness in the Company’s compliance program;To collaborate with global compliance team and other functions which are related to compliance management, such as legal, HR and TAX.

QualificationsAt least 3 years’ experience in related functions, and legal background is preferred.Qualification in the PRC with solid working knowledge of PRC laws in the aforementioned subject areas.The ability to learn on the job and manage constantly changing priorities.High level of professionalism with strong judgment and commitment to ethical issues.Must be detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills and the proven ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining high quality and performance under pressure.Ability to work independently and with a diverse set of personalities in a team environment.Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with senior executives and colleagues with different educational backgrounds, including engineers, sales representatives and colleagues in the compliance or legal department.
