Compliance Director Apply Now **Job Summary** **Please include a cover letter to accompany your resume.** The Director for Pharmacy Compliance is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and ensuring the adherence of Michigan Medicine?s (MM) pharmacy operations to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Director will provide strategic oversight and guidance to mitigate compliance risks and support revenue retention associated with pharmacy activities. Our mission is guided by our Strategic Principles and has three critical components; patient care, education and research that together enhance our contribution to society. **Responsibilities*** Key Responsibilities: + Lead the auditing of all MM inpatient and outpatient pharmacies, including AMC and regional locations, to ensure adherence to the Controlled Substances Act and internal compliance policies. + Manage and oversee pharmacy compliance in specific high-risk areas, including the 340B Drug Pricing Program, controlled substance oversight, and pharmacy operations in new and unique environments. + Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to implement and monitor compliance practices related to: + 340B program integrity and regulatory adherence. + Drone delivery implementation for medications and laboratory samples. + Compounding compliance and adherence to FDA regulations. + Vaccines for Children program compliance and oversight. + Supplier requirements and 855S enrollment processes. + Compliance of Regional retail pharmacies with unique regulatory demands. + Evaluate and resolve compliance issues, facilitating effective communication and consultation with stakeholders including executive leadership, Chief Pharmacy Officer, and Office of General Counsel. + Provide strategic leadership for the Compliance Program Engagement and Effectiveness (CPEE) initiatives, ensuring consistent and reproducible compliance procedures. + Serve as a key liaison with government regulators and auditors concerning pharmacy compliance matters and managed audits. + Offer expertise and support to various committees such as 340B Oversight and Controlled Substance Oversight. **Required Qualifications*** + PharmD or equivalent experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare compliance. + Extensive experience in auditing and compliance within a pharmacy setting. + Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, including 340B requirements, and government auditing processes. + Demonstrated ability to create and implement strategic plans that enhance compliance and operational efficiency. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse constituencies. + Proven leadership experience, especially in roles requiring cross-functional collaboration and influence. **Desired Qualifications*** **Impact and Expectations:** + This role is essential to preserving Michigan Medicine's compliance integrity and financial viability, ensuring pharmacy regulations are met to prevent fines, reputational harm, or government audits. + Ensure continuity in compliance coverage, mitigating risk as operational complexity and geographic reach expand. + Continue to enhance the overall structure of Corporate Compliance in concert with Audit/Investigation and HIPAA programs. **How You'll Grow** **Reporting Structure:** + The Director of Pharmacy Compliance reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and will be a part of a robust compliance team. + Supervise compliance program management, aligning with the overall organizational structure of Corporate Compliance. **Modes of Work** Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
