Location: Additional locations in San Juan, Puerto Rico may be considered. This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our  San Juan, Puerto Rico Pulse Point location.

As the Compliance Director, you will collaborate closely as part of an international compliance team, focusing on ensuring adherence to and management of the regulatory requirements in Puerto Rico and International Law. In this role, you will work with local operational teams as a strategic partner, integrating local and international compliance requirements into daily business practices. You will support the implementation of the seven elements of a robust compliance program, ensuring that compliance efforts are comprehensive, proactive, and aligned with both local and global standards. In your role as a collaborator and partner to local operational teams, you'll play a crucial role within our international compliance framework, contributing significantly to ensuring our organization's integrity and compliance on both local and global fronts.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Oversees a variety of projects and initiatives, including regulatory sanctions, executive-sponsored initiatives, regulatory and internal audits, accreditations, on-site reviews, and risk assessments.

Responsibilities encompass audit planning, conducting mock audits and training, managing the preparation of audit evidence, and evaluating audit readiness.

Leads compliance monitoring efforts to identify process gaps and validate compliance levels.

This includes process mapping, drafting corrective action and remediation plans, overseeing their implementation, and preparing comprehensive reports and presentations.

Directs complex investigations, documenting findings thoroughly, while developing strategic plans and providing recommendations to leadership.

Designs and implements the annual compliance plan to ensure robust regulatory adherence.

Cultivates strong relationships with key leaders to identify and address compliance risks and failures, managing action plans aimed at comprehensive risk mitigation.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance compliance frameworks, serving as a trusted partner to local teams by advocating for innovation and improvement in compliance strategies as part of a global effort.

Minimum Requirements:

A BA/BS degree and a minimum of 8 years in healthcare, regulatory, ethics, compliance, or privacy; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience:

Strong leadership and managerial skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams preferred.

Advanced degrees or professional designations (MS/MBA/JD) are preferred.

Demonstrated experience operating as a compliance professional within regulated industries preferred.

Willingness to travel to worksites and other necessary locations to perform job functions effectively preferred.
