Compliance Engineer Team Lead, EMC/RF
**Overview** Element has an opportunity for a **Compliance Engineer** **Team Lead** role. This position involves mentoring and disciplining EMC department staff and training lab engineers/technicians on the correct use of lab equipment. You will also ensure your staff follows standards and safety regulations in a fast paced environment. You will be relied upon heavily by other colleagues such as technicians, engineers, Department Manager, Technical Manager, General Manager and other positions. In this role you will guide the technical staff in timely completion of daily work and may be designated as the main contact for customers. Salary: $112,000 to $140,000/year **Responsibilities** **Supervisory Responsibilities:** + Supervising team members to make sure the team goals are being met + Assisting in disciplinary actions/meetings for team members when applicable + Coordination with management regarding team member’s issues + Conducting annual evaluation for team members with management + Meeting with management to discuss team performance + Provide regular positive/negative feedback to the engineers **Point of Contact Responsibilities:** + Communicates with the client, ensure client requests are fulfilled. + Communicates with Technical Management to ensure EMC/RF team are prepared to meet current and future projects + Support the creation and implementation of processes that will help deliver better, faster, or more accurate services to the client **Technical Support Responsibilities:** + Understanding latest FCC KDB, ANSI and ISED requirements and studying new technologies + Perform technical lab reviews of EMC/RF reports and documents to ensure consistency, accuracy and requirements have been met. + Troubleshooting with Test Engineering teams on test issues + Provide leadership for continuous improvement activities at the lab + Assisting quality team to maintain ISO17025 and ISO17065 accreditation **Additional Responsibilities:** + Troubleshooting issues with connectivity and prototype devices + Provide and schedule training for new employees as needed + Responsible for ensuring technical and quality issues are addressed for EMC/RF team + Perform EMC/RF testing/Reporting/Reviewing Reports according to FCC, ISED, ANSI and KDBs as needed + Understanding of continuous improvement disciplines such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, etc. preferred **Skills / Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in engineering/physics required from an ABET accredited or equivalent institution or higher + Minimum 3 years of experience and very detailed oriented with an excellent understanding of the standards and requirements for EMC/RF and Regulatory testing + General knowledge of regulatory rule parts, standards, guidance (ANSI, KDB, CFR, etc.) + Organized, critical thinker, team player, detail oriented, comfortable with troubleshooting + Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette + Ability to make independent decisions during the course of the work day + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) + Proven and recognized ability to provide accurate and timely reports + Excellent customer service skills + Ability to lift 25 lbs. on occasion and stand on feet for long periods of time **Company Overview** Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
