The PositionWe are seeking a proactive Compliance Partner to act as a trusted advisor to business units, driving compliant growth while fostering innovation. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance regulatory requirements with commercial objectives, ensuring robust risk management across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Compliance Advisory & Risk Governance
- Provide day-to-day compliance guidance to business stakeholders on business activities, projects, and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct end-to-end compliance reviews, risk assessments, and due diligence for new/existing projects.
- Propose practical, business-aligned solutions to mitigate compliance risks. Translate complex requirements into actionable business guidance and implement corrective/preventive measures.
2. Business Enablement & Innovation
- Partner with business teams to design compliant frameworks for new products, innovation and digital initiatives.
- Advise on risk-tolerant approaches to support agile decision-making without compromising compliance standards.
3. Training & Awareness
- Develop and deliver targeted compliance training programs for employees at all levels, with specialized modules for high-risk teams and senior leadership.
- Create accessible compliance resources (e.g., guidelines, FAQs) to promote a culture of accountability.
4. Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
- Strengthen close collaboration with cross-functional and global teams to align local practices with international standards.
- Lead process optimization initiatives by sharing best practices and lessons learned across affiliates.
- Actively contribute to global compliance projects, providing regional insights and strategic recommendations.
5. Regulatory Engagement & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor regulatory developments and translate complex requirements into actionable business guidance.
- Conduct periodic compliance audits and implement corrective/preventive measures.
Job Requirement
Qualifications:
Bachelor in law or equivalent is preferred;5 years of relevant working experience in pharma; experience in reputable law firm/MNC is a plusStrong record in managing compliance activities and management of compliance risksExpert in healthcare compliance management including auditing experienceThorough pharma business understanding as well as relevant key business process controlsTeam player and strong ability to drive results through collaboration across various functionsAbility to handle ambiguity and complex compliance/ business topicsHigh integrity standards and distinct attitude to speak-upGood communication skills and fluent in English and traditional MandarinWho we areAt Roche, more than 100,000 people across 100 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare.
