We are looking for a **Compliance Intern - Summer 2025** . During the internship,you gain insight into the compliance functions within an organization. You will learn about various types of internal controls within business processes and how these controls can mitigate different risks for the organization. Additionally, you will understand how this organization utilities a risk-focused, data-driven approach to monitor business activities. This methodology enables near real-time identification of errors, controls deficiencies, and non-compliance in an automated manner, allowing business leaders to promptly address any issues and minimize the impact. In this internship, you will assist in documenting the risks and internal controls for business processes and will conduct compliance reviews on high-risk and questionable transactions identified through the compliance monitoring programs. Furthermore, you will learn to develop compliance testing and monitoring programs that utilize data analytics technics and current technologies. Assistance with additional audit and compliance projects are also required. **Internship Eligibility:** + Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a degree seeking program.Academic status of Junior, Senior, or Master + Program of study: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related majors. + Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above + Authorized to work in the United States + Ability to commit to a full-time schedule between **May 19, 2025** through **August 15, 2025** **The Ideal Candidate will have:** + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Good work ethic and attention to detail + Basic knowledge of using business information systems and reporting tools to collect, analyze, and compile data + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint) + General understanding of business functions such as purchasing, payroll, and accounts payable processes + Nice to Haves: + Good understanding of risks and internal controls + Experience in creating business flowcharts and narratives + Ability to identify trends, inconsistencies and outliers in large and complex datasets + Basic understanding of SQL or Python programming language **Learn More About the Group:** The compliance team within Internal Audit serve as the second line of defense for OUC by developing best-in-class, next-generation compliance testing and monitoring programs that utilize advanced data analytics techniques and technologies.
