Compliance Investigator candidate may be assigned to the Shreveport and surrounding area but travel within the State of Louisiana is required. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Concepts FUNCTION OF WORK : Conducts investigations on violations regarding Board/Agency policies, state and federal statutes, Civil Service rules, licensure and/or ethics. LEVEL OF WORK : Entry. SUPERVISION RECEIVED : Direct from a Compliance Investigator 4-B, Executive Director or higher-level administrator. SUPERVISION EXERCISED : None. LOCATION OF WORK : May be used by all state agencies. JOB DISTINCTIONS : Differs from law enforcement investigators by emphasis on administrative rather than criminal investigations. Differs from Compliance Investigator 2 by performing entry-level compliance investigations. Differs from Compliance Investigator 4-B by absence of supervision duties. Examples of Work Conducts investigations into alleged or suspected misconduct by licensed members of applicable boards or commissions. Reviews and gathers evidence by taking oral, written, or tape-recorded statements from witnesses. Investigates reported violations of state and federal ethical and agency laws, rules, and policies. Prepares detailed confidential reports and summaries of investigations. Maintains records of investigations and related data. Testifies in Commission hearings, board hearings, and criminal and civil court concerning results of investigations.
