Compliance Lead - Real Estate

Purpose / Objective:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Lead - Real Estate to join our dynamic team at Adani Airports City Side Development Team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of relevant industry experience. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance management, monitoring, risk management, internal investigations and reporting, due diligence, and compliance MIS. The successful candidate will exhibit high integrity, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.

 

Key Responsibility:

 

Establish Clear, Comprehensive, and accessible compliance policies and procedures supplemented by organization code of conduct that outlines expected behavior and ethical standards for employeesRisk assessment & responsibility allocation across the organization while maintaining a comprehensive database of applicable compliances by department and/or individual.Develop strategies to manage and mitigate identified risk clusters.Implement a system of self-certification and conduct regular internal audits as well as compliance inspections to assess compliance with policies and regulations & correctness of self-certifications.Implement systems for ongoing monitoring including but not limited to controls exercised within identified workflows & select KPIs tracking.Develop robust reporting mechanisms, with a clear and concise MIS to track compliance status, regular reporting keeping the Senior Management informed about compliance activities and issues and creation of a whistleblower program establishing channels for employees to report compliance issues confidentially.Conduct thorough due diligence of third-party contracts, agreements and scope to ensure they meet compliance standards/ requirements sitting outside of the organization.Establish clear procedures for addressing compliance violations including appropriate disciplinary action, evaluation of linkage of key KPIs to performance with the right weightage and ensure these are applied consistently across the organization.Regularly review and update compliance policies and procedures to ensure they comply with changes in norms, laws and regulations as well as business operations. Manage risk by identifying potential compliance issues and developing effective mitigation strategies.Lead internal investigations and prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations.

12-14 years of experience in Compliance within the Real Estate or related industries.

LLB, LLM are a must, an MBA is advantageous.
