This pivotal role demands a deep understanding of evolving compliance laws and the ability to spearhead policy development and strategic implementation. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders. You will play a critical role in maintaining the company’s reputation for integrity and compliance across all operational areas, reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Compliance Framework Development:

Design, implement, and maintain a robust compliance framework in line with regulatory and legal standards.Develop and regularly review policies and procedures to ensure they meet current and future compliance needs.Oversee all business operations that intersect with compliance and regulatory matters.

2. Regulatory Compliance:

Monitor and interpret new and existing regulations to assess their impact on the business.Ensure all business activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

3. Risk Management:

Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.Collaborate with the Risk Management team to ensure effective alignment.

4. Training and Awareness:

Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels.Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior across the organisation.Design and implement comprehensive training programs to ensure employee awareness and adherence to necessary laws and regulations.

5. Monitoring and Reporting:

Establish and manage systems for monitoring compliance across all business units.Promptly enact measures to maintain compliance with both domestic/international statutes, as well as internal company directives.Provide stakeholders with reports on trends and root causes of compliance related issues on a periodic basis.Prepare and present reports on compliance performance to senior management and the board.

6. Investigation and Issue Resolution:

Lead investigations into compliance breaches and work to resolve issues promptly.Implement corrective action plans and report findings to relevant stakeholders.Develop a system to identify trends and root causes of compliance related issues collaborating with the business to ensure corrective actions are identified and implemented.Conduct thorough investigations to uncover and rectify any shortcomings in current compliance strategies, in accordance with regulatory standards.Develop strategies for creating an awareness of the ethics hotline.

7. Ad-hoc:

Manage the due diligence programme used for the approval of new business partners (agents, dealers, distributors etc.) per the applicable company standard and policies.Lead Compliance related Ad-hoc projects, including the Humans right risk assessment ensuring the Group is equipped to progress to improve on performance scores and moves from Tier 3 to Tier 2 ahead of the next assessment in 2025.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.

A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.Proven experience in a compliance or regulatory role within a large multinational organisation.Advanced English Proficiency (C2 Level).A good grasp of industry-specific trends, laws, and regulations.Exceptional analytical prowess and problem-solving capabilities.Experience in collaborating with different stakeholders with a business partnering mind-set.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
