Position Overview:
As the Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the organization complies with federal and state safety and stormwater regulations. This will include the development of polies and procedures, creating and implementing training, and tracking and reporting on findings.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Development and Implementation: Formulate and enforce comprehensive safety and environmental policies to ensure job sites adhere to safety standards and environmental regulations.Training and Education: Design and deliver training programs for employees on Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and construction stormwater management protocols.Compliance Monitoring: Oversee adherence to local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations, including OSHA, ADA, and EPA standards, ensuring handicap accessibility compliance.Accident and Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations of accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.Audits and Inspections: Perform regular safety, ADA, and environmental audits and inspections to ensure continuous compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.Regulatory Compliance Management: Stay abreast of all safety and environmental regulations, contributing to the development and maintenance of the company’s safety manual and environmental procedures.Reporting and Analysis: Compile and present detailed safety and environmental reports to leadership, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement. Collaborate with local divisions to implement improvement plans.Qualifications:
Extensive Knowledge of OSHA Regulations: Demonstrates a thorough understanding of OSHA standards and guidelines, inspection process, and informal and formal hearing.Expertise in National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Programs: Demonstrates a thorough understanding of both Federal and State National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) programs including SWPPP development, permitting, inspections and BMPs.Certifications: Holds OSHA 30-hour certification.Policy and Procedure Development: Experienced in drafting comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.Leadership and Collaboration: Exhibits strong leadership capabilities and effective collaboration skills.Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Technical Proficiency: Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.Construction Experience: Brings a minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry.Willingness to Travel: Available for business travel, approximately 3 days per month.Life at NVR
