Compliance Policy Manager

The Compliance Policy Manager will work collaboratively within the Compliance Department (Team Quest) and with other teammates throughout DaVita on policy related work.  The Manager will be responsible for creating and communicating compliance guidance and drafting company-wide compliance policies, handbooks, and job aids, as well as DaVita’s Code of Conduct.  The role requires strong critical thinking, project management and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with a strong eye for detail.  This role is for someone who likes to take initiative to get stuff done!

Overarching responsibilities:

Review, revision and maintenance of all compliance policies, handbooks, job aids and the Code of Conduct. Providing support and compliance guidance related to policies.   Supporting the team as needed in other areas of oversight, including, monitoring, responding to inquiries, committee participation.

1. Review, revision and maintenance of all compliance documents, including:

Managing all policy projects, including annual reviews, ad hoc changes, working with Operations teams to operationalize policies, and launches for new policies.Reviewing and revising policies for consistency, alignment with applicable regulations and clarity; coordinating and tracking changes/revisions.Proactively identifying areas for improvement in policies, handbooks, etc., and discussing suggestions with subject matter experts, including senior leaders.Reviewing data from other compliance areas for themes and trends to make policy enhancements.Partnering with the compliance education team to ensure policies are communicated and trainings reflect accurate policy guidance.Act as system administrator for policy management system, PolicyHub, which may include training other lane leads and maintaining training documents and working as liaison with the vendor as needed.Overseeing monitoring activities for certain compliance policies, as needed.

2. Providing Support and compliance guidance, including:

Complete QA reviews on responses provided via the compliance question line.Provide support to committees where compliance input or guidance is needed.

3. General support, including:

Leading compliance projects as needed and creating project plans.Help support other team members with ongoing monitoring work.Cross-train with team to help support question line and committee work managed by team.Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree Required.  Master’s Degree/JD preferred.A minimum of 5 years compliance and/or healthcare experience, preferably in similar role.Expertise in drafting, reviewing and providing guidance on policies is essential.Experience with PolicyHub by Mitratech a plus.Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe.  Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel and Smartsheet.Strong project management skills and attention to detail.Demonstrated strength in time management and organization required; ability to respond to urgent requests, prioritize appropriately, manage multiple projects at one time and meet deadlines.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to identify an issue, propose a resolution and rectify in a timely manner.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, owning projects and delegating tasks as appropriate.Ability to deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.

Position location: Denver, CO – hybrid schedule – in office Tuesdays and Wednesdays weekly, and other days as needed.

Salary/ Wage Range

$75,200.00 - $110,400.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
