Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President of Internal Audit and Compliance, the Compliance Program Specialist will:
Conduct internal compliance audits across all NY Foundling business linesWork with relevant internal stakeholders to support and build capacity to perform compliance-related activities, including but not limited to monitoring, corrective actions, and reportingSupport the on-going development, strengthening and implementation of the organization-wide compliance programCollect/collate/summarize compliance-related data as requested in support of various requirements, including quarterly reporting to Board, reporting to internal Compliance Committee, and conducting annual risk assessmentWork with internal auditing unit and internal stakeholders to develop and update annual work plans connected to the agency compliance program, including the monitoring plan and internal audit planWork to liaise as needed with external oversights on audit, reporting, and compliance related issuesResponding to formal concerns and complaints filed against the New York Foundling and its related entitiesAssist in developing and drafting compliance related policies and proceduresProvide technical support to stakeholders on federal, state, and local regulations, and on the NY Foundling policies and proceduresSupport other Compliance/Quality units in their quality-related tasks and responsibilitiesAssists New York Foundling leadership with special projects as neededRepresent Systems & Quality division in organizational meetings with a variety of internal stakeholders Qualifications Masters level degree in related area, or a minimum 2 years’ experience in service provision with Child Welfare, Health Services, People with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities or related systems Experience with implementing and supporting quality assurance functions, including regulatory compliance, risk management and incident management/investigations is preferredExcellent critical thinking and written and verbal communication skills requiredDemonstrated competence in Microsoft 365 products, including but not limited to Sharepoint, as well as the Foundling’s various EHR platforms, and the ability to access and use the Foundling’s various databasesAbility to manage projects and work with a wide variety of stakeholders and manage multiple deadlines and competing prioritiesFamiliarity with accessing and navigating regulatory and performance requirements for the Child Welfare (ACS/OCFS), Health and Behavioral Health (DOH and OMH) and Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) systems Education Required Bachelor’s Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution Options ApplyApplySubmit a ReferralRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
