Compliance Regulatory Change Associate
**Job Description** The Compliance Regulatory Change Associate is responsible for performing day-to-day activities required to maintain an effective Regulatory Change Management (RCM) program, including the coordination of complex, cross-functional matters related to organizational compliance. The Compliance Regulatory Change Associate is responsible for monitoring, assessing, and oversight of the implementation of regulatory requirements across the organization. The role involves ensuring that business processes, policies, and practices adhere to industry regulations. The Associate will work closely with operational teams, and legal to identify regulatory changes, evaluate their impact, and coordinate the necessary changes to ensure compliance. + Assess, analyze and break down regulatory and Association rules, identifying business, system, and process implications. + Assist Corporate Compliance team members with ensuring overall compliance with new and existing laws, regulations, obligations, Medicare guidance and/or bid requirements. + With some supervision, research, investigate and evaluate compliance implementation initiatives and required remediation initiatives. + Assist team in providing support to business areas by analyzing regulatory compliance issues and addressing related questions and problems. + Participate in risk assessments and/or audits and support efforts to monitor business systems for compliance to assure appropriate corrective action is taken to address risks/issues. + Support compliance team project work by executing assigned tasks within required timeframes. + Assist compliance team with training and communications programming. + May develop reports and presentations as needed. + May help design, develop and deliver benefit booklets and contracts to meet enterprise-wide project deliverables and initiatives. + Triage, research, and respond in a timely and accurate manner to NCDOI complaints, Smart NC requests, and escalated HICS cases from CMS. + May help perform compliance reviews of marketing materials for commercial and/or Medicare lines of business. + When working with Medicare products, assist team with oversight of compliance programs and activities of delegated entities and contractors supporting Medicare programs. **Hiring Requirements** + Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required) + 0-2 years of experience in related field. + In lieu of degree, 3+ years of experience in related field. **Hiring Preferences** + Direct project management experience. + Technology experience – learning and training people in new technology, contribute to system upgrades, interaction with teams to assist them. + Direct experience in regulatory rule breakdown & assessment is strongly preferred. + Direct experience in consultative/advisory role is strongly preferred. + Ability to think creatively and strategically while handling difficult and complex issues. + Ability to work effectively and partner with varied business areas to solve business problems. + Ability to work independently. + Ability to successfully work on multiple priorities/projects within established time frames. + Ability to set priorities and adapt to changing business needs. + Strong research and analytical skills. + Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills. + Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills (MS Word, Excel, MS Project, Visio and PowerPoint). **Salary Range** At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed.
