Compliance Risk Management Officer - AML (Hybrid)

Serves as a compliance risk officer for Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) responsible for establishing internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation and design and deliver a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and protects the franchise.

This compliance risk officer role is within the Global AML Risk Assessments Team which is responsible for the end-to-end AML risk assessment process. The Assessment reflects an enterprise-wide view of the extent to which AML risk indicia are present across Citi’s businesses. Risk Assessments are a key component of Citi’s Compliance risk management framework.

Responsibilities:

Participating in the strategy, design, development, execution and maintenance of Citi's AML Risk Assessment program.Analyzing complex comparative data, preparing and presenting regional and global reports related to AML risk assessments, and monitoring the status of of AML compliance related issues.Working with AML and first-line stakeholders across the lines of business to review, execute, and enhance the AML Risk Assessments.Keeping abreast of AML regulatory changes, new regulations and internal policy changes in order to further identify new key risk areas.Performing analyses of inherent risk and control effectiveness data to identify themes and potential applicability to additional business lines / functionsReviewing audit and regulatory inquiries related to AML Risk Assessments, preparing required documentation, making recommendations to senior management on how to proceed, and preparing responses for the regulatory inquiries.Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Qualifications:

2-5 years’ relevant experienceKnowledge of AML Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologiesPrevious experience in recording and analyzing effectiveness of controls is preferredMust be a detail-oriented and skilled writer as it will be necessary to capture risk assessment results and document methodology and procedure updatesMust be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptiveStrong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with people at all levels of the organizationAdvanced analytical skillsExcellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one timeProficient in MS Office with advanced Excel knowledge preferred.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in a financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; experience in area of focus; advanced degree a plusRelevant certification preferred (e.g., ACAMS)

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
