**Work Schedule** Standard (Mon-Fri) **Environmental Conditions** Office **Job Description** **What will you do?** + Ensure that all import and export activities align with the applicable laws and regulations, minimizing the risk of fines and penalties. + Classification of products, i.e. commodity codes and Dual Use Regulations + Facilitating import transactions – this includes importing goods from outside the EU/UK & providing classifications and instructions to freight forwarders. + Consulting with internal departments and functions to make sure procedures are followed + Liaising and consulting with customers (internal and external to the company) + Support the company's compliance program by participating in internal and external audits **How will you get here?** + Strong knowledge of commodity code classifications with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience classifying a diverse range of goods and product families + Proven experience with import and export processes in a distribution or manufacturing environment + Excellent customer management skills, both internal and external **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities** + Strong English verbal, written, and presentation communication skills + Ability to work independently and take initiative + Comfortable working in multicultural team + Ability to work with and influence various organizational levels, establishing positive working relationships + Capability to stay up-to-date with the constantly evolving landscape of trade regulations, tariffs, and sanctions imposed by various countries At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 70,000 remarkable individuals has an unusual story to share.
