The Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) is looking for their next Compliance Supervisor! This position manages the office’s complaint and compliance process, ensuring investigations are thorough and disciplinary actions are enforced. The position oversees investigative staff by providing feedback, training, and performance evaluations while setting priorities and resolving operational challenges. The role requires strong knowledge of state laws and legal procedures, along with excellent organizational and time-management skills. This position additionally handles complaints, enforces corrective actions, and acts as the main contact for the Certification Specialist and Attorney General’s Office. This position additionally supports leadership in rulemaking and legal updates, ensuring projects stay on track, with some travel required for meetings and investigations. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: + Supervising assigned staff and programs. + Managing the complaint resolution process. + Guide and direct investigative staff in the compliance of individuals and entities under OEMS disciplinary and corrective action. + Investigating non-compliance of individuals and entities under disciplinary and corrective action. + Preparing legal documents. **Minimum Qualifications** Four years’ experience conducting investigations and/or assuring compliance of State of Minnesota regulated occupations that includes the following duties and responsibilities: + Interpreting and applying the governmental laws in investigatory and compliance situations to ensure due process + Tracking of complaints, investigations, and compliance. + Reviewing and providing feedback on investigative reports to staff. + Previous supervisory, team lead or project lead experience. Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, emergency management, public administration, leadership, or related field may substitute for 1 year of experience. Master’s degree in criminal justice, emergency management, public administration, leadership, or related field may substitute for 18 months of experience. **Minimum qualifications assessed at interview:** + Ability to read, review, and correctly interpret state statutes, state rules, and OEMS orders. + Ability to organize and prioritize under strict time and production deadlines while producing quality deliverables. + Knowledge of the relationship between investigative subjects and the investigatory/compliance process. **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree or higher in criminal justice, emergency management, public administration, leadership, or related field. + Experience leading in the public sector + Knowledge of the EMS system and governing statutes + Documented skills in process improvement **Physical Requirements** Regular use of office equipment, including a computer and cell phone. Ability to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time. Ability to assess confidential paper and electronic records. Ability to move 10-25 lbs. **Additional Requirements** Incumbent must maintain valid driver's license, and insurance, OR have other reliable transportation.
