SEL has an exciting opportunity to welcome a new employee-owner to our Product Compliance team in Pullman, WA. As a Compliance Technician - Product Safety, you will oversee projects, provide technical support to customers, and work in a state-of-the-art test facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform product safety tests and document results appropriately in accordance with applicable standards.Provide overall support to Product Compliance and R&D personnel.Validate and troubleshoot test equipment and setups to ensure compliance.Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of applicable standards and requirements for product safety testing.Seek opportunities to identify, measure, and improve processes and documentation.

Required Qualifications

Two-year Electronic Technology or related associate degree5+ years of experience with product safety compliance test methods and philosophies at an electronics development and manufacturing companyHands on working knowledge of common product safety test equipmentTesting experience with one or more of the following:CSA/UL/EN/IEC 61010-1, -2-030, -2-201EN/IEC 60255-27EN/IEC 60529UL 508 / CSA C22.2 No. 14Self-motivated/self-starter with the ability to work independently in an efficient mannerStrong attention to detailsStrong writing, documentation, and speaking skillsAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesAbility to work cooperatively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Programming skills and testing automationFamiliarity with Product Safety design mitigation methods and best practicesFamiliarity operating within a UL Data Acceptance Program (DAP) or Customer Test Facility (CTF) Program

Salary Information

$24.60 - $32.75 per hour. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
