Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $138,486.00 – 148,800.00 per year and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Rail stock harnessing and Electro-mechanical integration. Routing harnesses from schematics, protection from environment using junction boxes, conduits, and fittings. Design, install and specify brackets and other means of support for routing. Design main trunks and branches specific length that include service loop and drip loop. Collaborate with electrical engineers for install-ability of harnesses and the accessibility of the routing. Pro-e 3D design and prevention of the collisions. Instruct offsite team to integrate the work.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a Component Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
1. Pro-e, AutoCAD, CATIA V4/V5, Enovia LCA, DMA2.2/2.3, Windchill, SAP and ELCAD software design tools;
2. Ensuring that materials, wires and insulation are compliant with rail standards, safety standards, and installed per customer specifications and Federal rail requirements;
3. Working with metal processes and finishes that are applicable for materials used;
4. Conducting design validations to ensure electrical 3D harness routing meets quality and performance standards;
5. Integration of the harnesses in the vehicles with special attention to EMC and EMI and safety of the passenger;
6. Analyzing and interpreting design specifications to validate compliance with project requirements..
