Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Component Engineer who is familiar with Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with internal customers and team members, and have experience with uploading/downloading, parsing, and analyzing electronic files. The role involves communicating with PCB contract manufacturers, interfacing with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Project, and Electronics Design teams, generating ‘Where Used’ reports, and accurately tracking inventory and lifecycle data.
ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with PCB contract manufacturers and internal teams.Interface with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Project, and Electronics Design teams.Generate ‘Where Used’ reports and accurately track inventory and lifecycle data.Upload/download, parse, and analyze electronic files (e.g., Excel format).Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Associates Degree may be considered).More than 2 years of relevant Electronics Engineering, Component Selection, or Avionics Design experience.Familiarity with Silicon Expert, IHS, CAPSEXPERT, DIGIKEY, FINDCHIPS, OCTOPART, or similar EDA search tools.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently or across teams.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with datasheet review (component parametrics, AEC-Qualifications, GiDEP, PCNs).Proficiency with analysis tools (Excel).Knowledge of inventory management tools.Proficient with documentation tools (MS Word/PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe, Nuance).Experience with schedule tracking (MS Project).Familiarity with internet tools (SharePoint, Intranet).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $85.00
