Components Engineer
Are you ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role in the aerospace and defense industry? We are seeking a talented Component Engineer to join our dynamic team in Denver, CO. In this exciting position, you will play a crucial role in Electrical Component (Parts) Engineering, focusing on the development and execution of our Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical, and Electrooptical (EEEE) Parts management plan. What You'll Do: + Lead and assist in EEEE Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture, and test. + Participate in the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of EEEE Parts. + Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers, and analyze test reports. + Work on a variety of electrical components, including resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, and thermistors. + Travel and collaborate closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet both quality expectations and product performance requirements. What You'll Bring: + Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance + A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field. + Formal coursework, training, experience, and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, semiconductor physics, and/or operation of devices such as hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, and capacitors. + Knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials, and processes used in EEEE parts. + Experience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and providing guidance to design and test teams. + Willingness/desire to be ONSITE 3 days a week (Tue-Thurs) Desired Skills: + Active DoD Secret clearance or higher. + A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Engineering with an emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics, or a related field of study. + Familiarity with technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.). + Basic understanding of nuclear effects on EEEE parts and demonstrated ability to work closely with Survivability Engineers in strategic Rad Hard applications. + Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements. + Basic understanding of worst-case analysis (WCA) / EEEE parts derating and end-of-life requirements. Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is Required to be considered for this role.
