Components Engineer
Components Engineer Location: Littleton, CO Job ID: #70423 Pay Range: $55-65/hr 12 months In this role you will: + Participate in Electrical / Electronic / Electromechanical / Electrooptical (EEEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture and test. + Participate in the selection, qualification, test and failure analysis of EEEE Parts. + Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports + Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organization. + Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors. + Travel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet both quality expectations and product performance requirements. Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related technical field + Formal coursework, training, experience and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, semiconductor physics and/or operation of devices such as hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes and capacitors + Knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials and processes used in EEEE parts + Experience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and providing guidance to design and test teams. Desired Skills: + Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Materials Engineering with emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics or related field of study + Familiarity with technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.) + Experience participating in major program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR + Active DoD Secret clearance or higher + Basic understanding of Nuclear effects on EEEE parts and demonstrated ability to work closely with Survivability Engineers in strategic Rad Hard applications + Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements + Basic understanding of worst-case analysis (WCA) / EEEE parts derating and end of life requirements + Ability to evaluate current and developing technologies for EEEE parts in complex design packages + Experience or knowledge of failure analysis, destructive physical analysis and/or root cause and corrective action analysis related to EEEE parts + Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.) + Experience regarding the full life cycle of integrated circuits (ICs), discrete components, or magnetics (transformers), etc. + Experienced in working with suppliers of EEEE components.
