Components Engineer

Summary:
Provide components engineering support for new designs and redesigns, ensuring adherence to Parts Management Plans while addressing obsolescence, standardization, and procurement control requirements.

Requirements:

6+ years of experience in components engineering support for new products undergoing qualification 6+ years of experience in components engineering support for products in production 6+ years of experience in components engineering with knowledge of electronic components and devices at the integrated circuit or discrete level 6+ years of experience with DMSMS (MUST) Manufacturing experience Experience creating processes for building hardware Experience with hardware maintenance and repair testing Experience with product and technology development

Preferred Skills:

Experience with component-related failure issues, pure tin issues, and counterfeit part detection Experience generating part management plan specifications to qualify electronic components for use Experience leading a team in evaluating electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components for electronic assemblies

Job Responsibilities:

Perform component selection analysis for new designs and redesigns to address DMSMS issues Ensure compliance with Parts Management Plans Support obsolescence management, component standardization, engineering data definition, and procurement control requirements Resolve quality issues, improve processes, and address counterfeit part avoidance Serve as a liaison between vendors, procurement, customers, and subcontractors Resolve obsolescence issues, generate customer reports, identify part substitutions, and support second-source part qualification Prepare procurement specifications and resolve development and production component issues

Pay Details: $70.00 to $80.00 per hour
