**Job Title: Composite Technician** **Job Description** As a Composite Technician, you will perform repairs on parts/components using methods such as 'Wet Layup' and 'Prepreg.' Some repairs require the use of a clean room and curing through an autoclave. Composite bonding methods utilized in repair may include co-curing, co-bonding, secondary bonding, metal bonding with adhesives in liquid form, and film. Repairs are conducted in accordance with current technical data and procedures. **Hard Skills** + Reading basic blueprints + Using close tolerance measuring tools (scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gages, etc.) + Using hand tools (drill motors, die grinders, rivet guns, fastener installation tools, etc.) + Performing alignment/assembly using jig, templates, and fixtures + Proper use of PPE during cutting, grinding, blending, and sanding + Extensive use of bagging materials + Proper bagging for a wide range of component shapes and styles + Using a 'Hot-Bonder' type machine cure procedure **Soft Skills** + Attention to detail + Technical proficiency + Manual dexterity + Problem-solving skills **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Cedar Hill, Texas. **Work Environment** Climate-controlled MRO facility **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
