Job Title: Composite Technician Schedule: M-F day shift, however, we need all hands on deck! There will be overtime and working weekends sometimes, we need someone who is okay with that. Someone who can roll up their sleeves and help impact our company and the goals we have in place this year. Job Description We are looking for a candidate who can perform builds, rework, and repairs on composite materials, specifically Carbon Fiber. We are looking someone that can come in with little training and get up to speed quickly. There is growth within our company! Great culture and environment as well. Responsibilities + Assess composite prototypes from suppliers and repair/rework them to match the original design. + Lay up parts, assemble, trim, and finish composite materials. + Sand cured epoxy composites and use solvent-based mold release agents. + Trim, drill, and finish composite parts to design specifications. + Perform general assembly and disassembly of mechanical parts using hand and power tools. Essential Skills + Experience with prototyping, assembly, trimming, and finishing carbon fiber parts (2-3 years). + Experience sanding cured epoxy composites and using solvent-based mold release agents (2-3 years). + Proficiency in trimming, drilling, and finishing composite parts (2-3 years). + Understanding of shop tools such as sanders, drills, screwdrivers, and wrenches. + Experience in general assembly and disassembly of mechanical parts. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Willingness to work long hours and learn quickly. + Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment The hardware test environment is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for building and maintaining our client's engineering prototype fleet. The role is part of an integration team under the engineering organization. The position is Mon-Fri, usually 8am - 5pm but there are OT opportunities every day. Although PTO is not offered for consultants, they receive 11 holidays per year. The dress code is casual. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
