Composite Wind Turbine Blade Repair Technician - Canada Wide
**Description** MISTRAS Services Inc. is looking to hire experienced **Composite** **Wind Turbine Blade Repair** **Technicians** to support our Wind Energy clients across Canada. You will focus on ensuring job safety, exceeding client expectations, enhancing team performance, and upholding both company and client policies and procedures at Various wind turbine locations. **We are currently hiring Wind Technicians to support Wind Energy clients across Canada. A live-out allowance (LOA) is offered to non-local candidates, with wages determined by experience and certification level.** **Key Responsibilities:** + Act as a safety role model and intervene when unsafe acts are identified + Assess, plan and perform composite repairs as required + Perform basic and complex fiberglass repairs on wind turbine blades, nacelles and nose cones. This includes reading and following work instructions, layup schedules as well as using tools and techniques typical of the composite repair trade. + Document repair progress and prepare repair reports + Collect information and create inspection reports + Liaise with management on project work + Liaise with clients and site operations crew to ensure scope of job is understood and well executed + Provide mentorship and training of less experience technicians + Willingness to learn and develop new skills **Physical Job Demand:** + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. + Must be willing and able to work at height from rope or suspended working platforms + Must be able to tolerate working in extreme climates for extended periods of time + Frequent stooping, crawling, kneeling, standing and walking + Must be comfortable working in cramped or confined spaces **Qualifications, Experience and Skills:** + Team supervision on ropes or platforms, GWO AST Training - BRT + Confined Space, First Aid, ASP Construction, WHSA, LOTO, WHMIS + WAH Ontario + IRATA Rope Access Level 1, 2, or 3 (or willing to obtain via company sponsored IRATA Rope Access course Level 1) + Composite technician certificate or equal + Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). + Ability to follow instructions, maintain focus, and multitask efficiently. + Willingness to travel to site. **Why Work at MISTRAS Services?** MISTRAS Services Inc. strives to provide a positive work environment that values excellence in safety and quality, free from discrimination and harassment.
