JOB REQUIREMENTS
A vacancy has now arisen for an experienced Maintenance Technician / Plant Operator within the Compound Plant at our Aberdare site. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Compound Plant, this position will be working a 3 shift pattern, as part of a small team to ensure continued production and maintenance operation of plant in a busy environment. A willingness to work flexibly and commitment to work overtime is required.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 of years’ experience working as a maintenance technician in a busy, high volume manufacturing environment. Having served a recognised apprenticeship in a suitable discipline and ideally educated to HNC level. The successful candidate will have experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
The successful candidate should have experience working a variety of shift patterns, including continuous shifts and must be comfortable working on their own when required, using their own initiative with a strong desire to succeed in a sometimes challenging environment.
The candidate must be computer literate and have good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, as is the need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of PLC programming.
Key responsibilities are as follows;
To maintain, repair and fault find on plant and machinery using various maintenance disciplines.Contribute toward machine efficiency and development programmes using existing maintenance programmes and methodologies.Complete preventative maintenance inspections and implement action plans to stop reoccurring faults.Effective management and operation of a PVC compounding facilityLocation – Aberdare
