Compounding Technician Job Description The Compounding Technician is responsible for blending and formulating new high-speed shampoo and conditioning hair care products. This role requires ensuring blend sheet data such as weight amounts and other documentation are accurate and up-to-date. The technician is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of buckets and tanks on the production floor. Using extreme attention to detail, the technician must ensure formulations comply with company, industry, and FDA standards, making any necessary updates or corrections. Responsibilities + Blend and formulate new high-speed shampoo and conditioning hair care products. + Ensure accuracy and timeliness of blend sheet data and other documentation. + Maintain cleanliness of buckets and tanks on the production floor. + Ensure formulations comply with company, industry, and FDA standards. + Make updates or corrections to formulations as needed. Essential Skills + Extremely detail-oriented. + Skilled in basic mathematics. + Ability to accurately document and correct blend sheets and weight amount data. + 2-3 years of previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or packaging environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in Chemistry or Cosmetic manufacturing is a plus. + Knowledge of compounding, formulation, blending, and GMP standards. + Experience with chemical purification, mixing, and sanitizing in a laboratory setting. Work Environment The position involves 10-hour shifts from Monday through Thursday (7am-6pm). Overtime hours are rare but possible based on sales demand. The work is conducted in a weighing room and production line setting within a manufacturing facility.
