Computer Information Systems Instructor/Trainer

Description:We are seeking a talented and motivated Customer Trainer Sr. to join our team as we provide Aegis training support to our United States Navy, United States Army, and international customers. This position will join an existing team in curriculum development and instruction of the Aegis Computer Network Technician (ACNT) equipment as part of the overall Aegis suite. The successful candidate will have existing knowledge and skills combined with an eagerness to develop new skills to apply to the defense industry. The candidate will stay current on evolving baselines and capabilities. The candidate will feel comfortable in a teaching environment in front of the classroom sharing knowledge with Sailors and Soldiers. The candidate must have the ability to work in a team or individual setting and a strong desire to develop new skillsets benefiting our team and our customer. The candidate will join a high performing team with a proven track record. This position is located at a Lockheed Martin facility and is 100% in office. This position will be required to travel up to 40%.
*US Citizenship is required. Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position.
Basic Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in computer information systems (CIS), network engineering or an equivalent degree. Education can be substituted with an additional 4 (four) years of experience or an appropriate mix of certifications and experience.

(3) Three to Five (5) years’ experience working with or instructing students on a networked system and/or Linux based computer system.

Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Ability to communicate and work directly with the customer.

Ability to work through highly complex problems using engineering technical data, wiring diagrams, test equipment, software programs, and technical manuals.

Strong technical aptitude with desire to work hands-on with the latest technologies.

Ability to confidently speak in front of a classroom sharing knowledge.

Desired Skills:
CompTIA Networking+, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA Security+, Certified Cisco Networking Associate, or comparable certification

Two (2) years experience maintaining hardware or software specific to the TI-16 Computing Suite or the Multi-Mission Signal Processor (MMSP) equipment group

Previous teaching or curriculum development experience

Specialized experience related to Aegis training systems, subsystems, capabilities & limitations, and associated curriculum design and development activities
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
