Computer Network Architect – Advanced (Secret to TS) (3275)

SMX is seeking a skilled advanced level Computer Network Architect to be part of our Information Technology Team supporting NAWCAD at Patuxent River, MD.  The position encompasses tasks to design and implement secure computer and information networks including LAN, WAN, intranet, extranet and other data communication networks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

Design computer networks Implement design plans creating testing, development, and production type networks Perform network emulation/virtualization, analysis and planning of networks Design network and computer security measures Install and upgrade systems software Maintain software configuration management and documentation Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software

Required Skills: 

Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI eligible. Secret to start. The applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline Must be able to interact with peers, management, and senior engineers in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace. 7+ years of related experience required. DoD 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) (Examples of minimum acceptable certifications-CCNA Security, CySA+, G SEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)

Desired Skills:
