Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Computer Operations Analyst – COSA (25-013) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
The selected candidate will be part of a team that reports to the X-Lab O&S Leadership and performs daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the X-Lab systems in an experimental environment.
Essential Functions:
Provide first-level technical support to the X-Lab Experiment Leads and perform initial troubleshooting of all X-Lab hardware, software, and networksDocument and report all events/issues to the X-Lab Leadership and receive tasking and direction from the X-Lab O&S Leadership for all operations, tests, experimentation, and real-world eventsAssist in all hardware/software installations as directed by the local SMEsAbility to solve problems of limited to moderate scope and complexityWork is closely supervised following established policies and procedures or under very general supervisionContacts are primarily with immediate supervisor and within the company or group but may be external as wellErrors in judgment would typically require a moderate expenditure of resources to rectifyPerforms other duties and assignments as requiredBasic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a related discipline and 0 years of experience, or 6 years of related experience instead of a degreeApplicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to startDoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is required to startMust have experience with operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environmentsMust have experience in system and/or network administration, including:LinuxWindowsNutanix cloud infrastructureMDA CLANDISA EM network usageMust have experience in troubleshooting hardware and software componentsExperience in data flow usage and the ability to troubleshoot DISA and MDA network connectivity are requiredThe position at Schriever Space Force Base is not a remote work position. Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
