As a RSTAC Computer Operator I, you will be responsible for the execution of various radar test plans and procedures as part of overall ground and flight test efforts within the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) RSTAC contract. Operators will follow steps as described in the test procedure and supporting documentation and note any discrepancies observed during the test. Operators will be needed for several radar types to include: AN/TPY-2, Sea-Based X-band (SBX) radar, Cobra Dane radar and the Upgraded Early Warning Radars (UEWRs).
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ 1-2 years of experience in a technical role
+ Familiarity with common operating systems and network monitoring programs
+ Knowledge of data user interface and query software
+ Excellent data entry skills for accurately maintaining processing logs
+ Keen attention to details, as well as having critical thinking and analysis skills
+ Good teamwork and collaboration skills
+ Good verbal communications to explain technical information to users with little technical knowledge
+ You must possess or can obtain an active SECRET security clearance
+ You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Associate's degree or certification in a relevant technical field.
+ Previous experience with MDA programs and/or with the operation of any missile defense system component
+ Excellent data entry skills for accurately maintaining processing logs
+ Keen attention to details, as well as having critical thinking and analysis skills
+ Good teamwork and collaboration skills
+ Good verbal communications to explain technical information to users with little technical knowledge
Responsibilities:
+ Ensure computer systems and hardware work properly
+ Performing defined tasks as per company processes
+ Providing data entry by operating a computer console
+ Installing software updates and setting computer configurations, as required
+ following approved test procedures and annotating where procedures deviate from planned actions
+ performing continual system monitoring and observation of events to determine if test is going as planned
+ fully documenting test findings from an operator's perspective
+ copying and archiving data products after the test is complete
Skills:
In this role, you will utilize your technical skills and knowledge to ensure the smooth operation of test procedures as defined in the test plans. Excellent communication skills will allow you to collaborate with the technical team and document activities accurately.
