PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Computer Operator IV/SA (*Information Systems Analyst) plans, coordinates and directs Information Technology (IT) related activities in Base Supply. The Computer Operator IV/SA determines the organization’s information technology goals and needs and implements computer systems accordingly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Functions as the system level Information System Security Officer (ISSO), a unit Cybersecurity Liaison, Unit Records Manager, SharePoint Site Owner and IT Equipment Custodian.Analyzes and plans for the organization’s IT requirements and implements strategies accordingly. Finds solutions for IT related issues that will help the organization operate more efficiently and effectively; makes recommendations to Program Manager and Government for upgrades and required changesEnsures servers, workstations, peripherals, communications devices and operating system / application software are properly configured for network operationPlans and directs the installation, repairs, and upgrading of computer hardware, handheld terminals, and local softwareAnalyzes, develops theory, resolves and restores function, and evaluates for long term solutions when a user or an automated monitoring system informs that a problem exists.Identifies, understands, and plans for organizational and human impact on planned systems, and ensures that new technical requirements are properly integrated within existing processes and skill setsInteracts with internal users and customers to identify and document technical requirements which are then used for critical business operations or to promote business  Collects and analyzes data in order to evaluate the network’s performance; acts to make adjustments as necessary for optimal performanceStays informed about new technology and AF policy to keep organization’s IT systems and shared resources updated, optimized, and in compliance Develops, implements, oversees, and maintains the organization’s Cybersecurity program requirements for personnel, processes, and procedures in accordance with AF and DOD policy. Includes oversight and approval for all network account access controls within IT Systems purview including user accounts, organizational mailboxes, security groups and distribution groups Ensures cybersecurity compliance of the organization’s network, systems, and electronic documents  Ensures use of data encryption to protect sensitive informationFollows compliance reporting requirements as specified in AF policy, TCNOs or Wing Cyber Office directives. Directives may require compliance-based, task-based, or asset-based reporting Prepares reports documenting security breaches, including the extent of damage caused by any suspected breachEnsures all users have the requisite security clearances, supervisory need-to-know authorization, and are aware of their cybersecurity responsibilities (via Cyber IAA training) before being granted access to Air Force Information Systems.  Maintain all user Network License Form Agreement and AF 4394 forms in official recordsActs as point of contact for all computer security incidents within an organizationObtains certification & accreditation documentation for accountable records of required systems and of unique software for review by the Wing Cyber Office and records filingEnsures compliance with AF policy, review access requests, and maintain SharePoint sites – Base Supply Site, Systems Management Site, MICAP site, and Records Management site.Acts as point of contact for and monitor the Records Management ProgramEnsures RCs prepare file plans utilizing AFRIMS, to include e-records, vital records, web records, web pages and protection of information affected by the PAMaintains local Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) accountable records Act as the ILS-S liaison between the Global Logistics Support Center (GLSC) and Base SupplyAssists KAFB customers on all programs regarding the following: ES-S, DISCOVERER, and any other supply systemsAssigns and manage all ES-S roles including Capability and Transactions additions and deletionsProvides end of year support in accordance with AFI 23-101, AFMAN23-133, AFH23-123Provides Discrepancy Report (DIREP) listings to the COR, upon requestProvides methods to customer support personnel for copying reports from 635 SCOW website to Supply webpage, and maintain electronic distribution of reports and listingsThe Computer Operator IV/SA – Lead may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Advanced computer troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, as well as comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Server and Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, MS SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience in networking, and computer securityExperience with AF Active Directory, SharePoint administration, and Remedy Ticket processesAbility to accurately enter data into databases.Ability to understand and interpret documents such as safety rules, installation, operating and maintenance instructions, configuration tutorials, applied troubleshooting, and procedural manuals.Ability to generate routine reports and correspondenceMust have excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.Must be trustworthy and discreet – will handle confidential information routinelyAbility to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, etc.Ability to understand and follow a process.Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.Excellent analytical skills. Must be able to evaluate data, as well as cohesive or disparate information sets, and extrapolate the impact of decisions and actions across multiple areas.Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to effectively communicate issues to management and regulatory agenciesAbility to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.Ability to multi-task, perform basic mathematical computations, detect non-obvious facts and issues, and exercise resourcefulness in resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s degree in related field required; Bachelor’s Degree desiredMust have and maintain CompTIA A+ and Security + Certification  Minimum of one years’ experience in Air Force Systems Management or Network SupportAbility to pass a drug and background screening
