3Ci is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our Client's Generation Specialized Infrastructure team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-years experience in designing, supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering both physical and virtual systems. This role requires proficiency in installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining Redhat Linux systems, as well as a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based systems and software.

This is a hybrid position, and the successful candidate must reside within driving distance of: Atlanta GA, Birmingham AL

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in CS or MIS strongly preferred; 5+ years of relevant technical experience is an acceptable substitute 5 - 8+ years of service (depending on job level), providing technical and organizational support for in-scope technologies 5+ years of designing, supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering physical and virtual systems Proficient installing, configuring, deploying and maintaining Redhat Linux systems Proficient with backup system technologies like NetBackup servers and appliances Storage Area Network administration and storage provisioning experience Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing traffic flows, firewall connectivity, ports and services General Requirements Ability to operate in a Sarbanes Oxley regulatory controls environment with consistent adherence to compliance standards Professional oral and written communication skills required especially pertaining to managing a regulatory environment High-level of demonstrated self-initiative and self-learner Preferred Requirements Palo Alto Firewall experience

Essential Functions

Engineer, install, and maintain server hardware, hypervisors, and system software while following compliance and security standards Provide full life-cycle management for servers and system software including host deployments and performing DR scenarios Perform tuning of Unix and Linux based server deployments Install security patches, functional patches, and version upgrades Communicate progress, problems, and best practices to management, team leads, and teammates Perform other tasks as required
