Provides technical assistance to the University Auxiliary Services as directed. **Responsibilities** * Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. * Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and software applications. * Provide technical support and assistance to users via phone, email, in person, or though Microsoft Teams. * Collaborate with IT staff and other departments to implement new solutions and optimize performance. * Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. * Maintain accurate records of work performed and inventory of computer equipment. Adhere to university policies and procedures, including security protocols and data privacy regulations. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. **Preferences** * Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and peripherals. * Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows 10/11, and MacOS. * Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols. * Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. * Effective communication skills, both verbal and written * Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment * Customer service-oriented attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support. * A+ and/or Network + certification preferred. **Special Instructions Summary** **Additional Information** The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”).
