Qualcomm's Multimedia R&D Group is seeking passionate candidates for its Computer Vision team in Shanghai, China. The team develops advanced algorithms, architectures and systems for computer vision and machine learning application, enriching the embedded systems for Smartphone, IoT, XR, PC, and Automotive products.

The candidate will have responsibilities including but not limited to:

Utilizing modern machine learning techniques for computer vision tasksDevelopment of proof-of-concept demo on Qualcomm platformsTackling practical issues in terms of accuracy and efficiency for specific application scenarios to make the computer vision technology ready for commercializationTracking cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning techniques and new emerging application fieldsProposing new ideas in algorithm / application for technology commercialization and patent application

Minimal Qualifications:

PhD degree (or Master with >3 years of working experience) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant majorsHands-on experience in the computer vision research in one or more of the following Computer Vision/ Machine Learning related areas, such asBiometricsFace / hand / body detection and 2D/3D pose estimationObject detectionDeepfake detection / watermarkingVision foundation models / Vision language modelAIGCProficiency in C/C++/PythonProficiency in EnglishGood team spirit

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with On-device deep learning model deploymentExperience with Qualcomm platformExperience with Camera frameworkExperience with performance optimization with ARM/DSP/GPU/NPUExperience with cross-platform (Windows, Android, Linux, QNX) development

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
