What You'll Do
Communications Security (COMSEC) Operations Support position in the Department of Energy (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Y-12 Communication Security Center (COMSEC) located at Oak Ridge, TN. Position provides support for all COMSEC operations, Classified Help Desk Operations, Computer Access Authorizations, and Classified Entrust/Token Deployments, and is responsible for receiving, inspecting, identifying, storing, labeling, maintaining and disbursing/shipping all COMSEC equipment (STEs, Minis, HAIPE, Secure Terminals, Secure Phones, etc.). Manage on-site COMSEC custody transfer of COMSEC items, equipment inventory and material handling and control procedures. Team with and provide support to Classified Network Operations, Enterprise Secure Network (ESN), Synchronized Account Request Automated Process (SARAPE) For Sandia National Laboratories, including monitoring, Memorandums of Understandings, Maintaining the Y-12 Domain Name System, issue and control of all Classified Terminal Control Box Keys including configuration and connectivity issues are established on the Classified Network, Classified Help Desk Operations, Computer Access Authorizations, CNS Maintenance to troubleshoot and resolve classified network, classified user accounts, RSA Token deployments, Entrust, HAIPE, and crypto problems. Train various personnel on Communications Center duties and accounting procedures per the DOE Order 470.6 and National Policy.
The job position currently requires regular business hours support based on 4x10 hour shifts Mondays-Thursdays, and may also include some occasional scheduled Friday and weekend shifts as required for the customer. May include infrequent call-in assistance for troubleshooting during off-shift times.

Eight or more years of relevant education, training and/or progressive experience may be considered to satisfy the educational and years of experience for this posting. Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
