Overview BASIC FUNCTION: The Concierge 2.0 will proactively contact guests ahead of their arrival to obtain crucial information to provide the highest level of Guest Service. Traditional Concierge functions such as making reservations, fulfilling special requests, and providing information about the resort will occur before the guests step foot at the resort. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE · High School graduate or equivalent Minimum 2 years of Hospitality Concierge experience (or equivalent) · Extensive knowledge of local businesses, area attractions, and community events Knowledge of reservations software including, but not limited to, Spa Soft, Open Table, and SMS Host Professional phone demeanor Personable, self-motivated, able to create instant, lasting connections Proficient in upselling Sales-minded individual comfortable driving revenue at The Abbey outlets Relationship-driven individual with a passion for customer service Qualifications ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Contact guests prior to their arrival date, obtaining crucial information to provide the highest level of Guest Service Answer all guest questions and fulfill any special requests Supervise a small team of ranging concierge experience Be aware of all daily resort events, restaurant schedules, and daily functions Provide guests with local events Collaborate with Front Desk and Guest Services teams to coordinate guest transportation Be knowledgeable of external conditions that could affect guest experience (i.e. weather, construction, etc.) Coordinate guest activities and reservations both on and off site Maintain a well-organized, easily accessible collection of promotional and informative materials (i.e. brochures, menus, maps, and/or guides) Attend pre-con meetings and perform special group presentations upon request Communicate effectively with all outlets regarding guest reservations, needs, or requests Provide accurate directions to guests as they navigate the resort to their rooms or the outlets MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds Provide assistance during busy check ins, providing guest assistance when necessary ENVIRONMENT: Indoor lobby setting. Centrally located, high visibility with constant guest contact.
