THE JOB:
As a Concierge Supervisor for Mandalay Bay, you are an essential part of guest experience. Your commitment to ensuring efficient daily operations, and dedication to promptly resolve guest concerns, fosters a welcoming atmosphere for guests that lays the foundation for unforgettable memories that guests can carry with them well past their stay with us. By delivering top-notch service, you play a crucial role in elevating the overall guest experience.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring superior guest experience
Supervise staff work performance, and partake in progressive discipline when appropriate
Conduct payroll and supply orders as needed, oversee timekeeping, training, employee schedules, interviewing and appropriately address staff concerns
Keep Concierge Manager informed on all pertinent information related to the department and report irregularities and problems as they occur, and document situations as they occur
Knowledgeable of and enforces department and hotel standards to reach business and property goals
Perform various administrative tasks including but not limited to: preparing and distributing reports, and working directly with guests when business volumes dictate
Supervise the daily operation of the concierge team to include: human resources responsibilities, staffing levels to ensure maximum efficiency, and respond to guest service interactions
Address and resolve guest conflicts promptly, anticipating and mitigating potential challenges to ensure a seamless experience
Performs other job-related duties as requested
THE STARTING PAY RATE: $23 per hour + Commission
THE SCHEDULE: Full Time
Hours of Operation: 8 am – 8 pm daily
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Must be 21 years of age or older
High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent
Must have 2+ years of prior relevant experience
Has prior experience as Concierge, VIP Services Representation, or as a Front Desk Agent in a Hotel/Resort Setting
Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
Has a passion for Service, is resourceful in finding solutions, and can efficiently multi-task
Has exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
Bilingual
Has previous experience using Opera, Amadeus, Archtics and ALICE
